Either for medical reasons or just to feel great, Somekind of Sanctuary applies soft-tissue manipulation techniques in various forms of massage and bodywork to aid in our clients’ rebalance, removal of tension and stress, realignment, improved circulation and relaxation. Some of our techniques include reiki, sports massage, Cranial Release Technique, and e-stem therapy among others. As one of the oldest of healing arts and an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, including low back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression, and more. I use various techniques that can be modified for increased or decreased pressure, specified areas of tension and any special concerns or injuries. Aromatherapy, lotions and oils may be used and as always, comfort is ensured with constant feedback between client and therapist. Somekind Of Sanctuary always sends off our clients smiling and feeling light and rejuvenated.
Gulf Harbour, Fiddlesticks members and their guests may schedule appointments at the Spa and Fitness Club for their convenience.

Somekind of Sanctuary is proud to offer clients the knowledge and ability to actively take part in their own natural healing. A method that we enable the client is through state-of-the-art biofeedback technology, which allows users to gain control over physical processes previously considered automatic. Involving the measurement of bodily processes such as blood pressure, heart rate, skin temperature, galvanic skin response (sweating) and muscle tension, the client can receive information about their body systems in real time and raise his or her awareness and control of the related physiological activities. These measurements and related physiological activities can signal problems that have a correlation to stress, such as tension, asthma, ulcers, muscle aches, fatigue, migranes, circulatory disorders, even phobias and stuttering, this modality is another complementary method to get effectively remove internal or external stimuli for imbalance. Biofeedback is just one more way that Somekind of Sanctuary enables our clients to reconnect their minds and bodies.
Cranial Release Technique is a natural, hands-on approach to releasing the body’s inborn capacity to heal and regenerate itself. When the 22 cranial bones were discovered to move, practitioners showed that this movement affects proper function of the nervous system and optimum health. When the natural rhythmic movement of the bones of the head is disturbed, pain, nervous system imbalance and illness can result. CRT can be applied in only minutes, “releasing” and correcting all the bones individually at one time, having profound effects on overall health and well-being.
This release also realigns other tissues and structures associated with the cranium, such as: the spine, pelvis, cerebrospinal fluid, skeletal extremities, the fascia or connective tissue and the Dura Mater, the protective covering of the brain and spinal cord. Cranial Release Technique (CRT) shifts the autonomic nervous system back to the parasympathetic.
By turning on cognition, digestion, immune defense, and healing effects on Heart Rate Variability (medically recognized as an indicator of stress), CRT has a positive effect on reversing the abnormal stress state. Since your body is either in a mode of protection and survival or a mode of healing and regeneration, CRT can help restore proper function to the nervous system and brings balance back into the body, as a supplemental part of your overall wellness program.
A type of massage applied to the feet to compensate for the lack of barefoot-walking on uneven ground. Small rocks and roots would randomly work with your body weight, stimulating the release of static charged channels of trapped energy linked to other areas in your body. Also stagnant blood and lymph flow is discharged as the renewal of oxygen fresh blood is supplied, stimulating tissues at a cellular level. Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body’s energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. This technique reduces pain, increases circulation and thus relaxation.
Somekind Of Sanctuary uses a technology to destroy bacteria, fungus, parasites, viruses, and yeast. Based on the work of Hulda Clark and Wilheim Reich, Don Croft developed a small, convenient mechanism called a Zapper that works with a 9-volt battery.
Orgone is Dr. Reich’s name of “chi” or “life force” which is present throughout the universe as energy, life and matter potential. The device, when placed strategically on areas of the body, using electricity, amplifies positive energies within the body meridians, which ultimately bolsters immune response and natural healing
